I purchased my first Californians in the fall of 1997 and raised them all throughout junior high and high school for 4-H and FFA. I raised and showed the Reserve Champion Meat Pen in 2001 at the Williams Co Fair. I sold all of that herd in the fall of 2002 and moved to Columbus, Ohio for the next 5 years. Every summer vacation I bought a few Cals and then sold them in the fall right before going back to school. In May of 2006 I bought a trio at the OSRBA Mini Convention from Al Roland, a long-time breeder from out east. It didn't take long before 3 rabbits multiplied into the 300+ Cals I have in my barn right now!
